Featuring a rich red/brown background and gorgeous blue peony flowers and blossoms twisted in intricate floral patterns and butterflies and gilt clouds these are a stunning example of traditional Chinese enamel artistry. 

Cloisonné is and ancient, intricate metalworking technique for decorating objects like vases or jewellery by creating compartments or cloisons, using thin metal wires and filling them with coloured enamel paste and firing them in kiln.  After firing, the piece is polished to create a smooth, glossy, and vibrant, multi-colored surface.
