This fantastic figurine of a handsome looking cockatoo is made by Karl Ens, one of the oldest and most prestigious porcelain factories in Germany. This hand-painted bird is beautifully modelled with an impressive green and yellow crest and it has beautiful dark blue wings and a yellow body. The bird is sitting on a tree branch like base that also features a protuding leaf. The details of this piece confirm the well deserved reputation of the Ens factory for creating fine animal figurines. The blue windmill mark dates the piece to between 1919 – 1945. It is in perfect condition.
